Every Baaby garment is made in Melbourne, Australia by skilled artisan bridal dressmakers. 

Are your garments made from 100% silk? 

Yes! Every Baaby piece is made from either 100% dupion silk or 100% silk organza. We use 100% silk for its beautiful natural qualities, exceptional drape and luxurious feel. It photographs beautifully, and unlike polyester, it remains breathable and comfortable to wear throughout your wedding day.

What makes a 100% silk wedding dress different?

A 100% silk wedding dress is made from natural silk, giving it a soft feel, beautiful drape and elegant movement. Silk is lightweight, breathable and timeless, making it a beautiful choice for brides who want a wedding dress that feels luxurious without being heavy or overly structured.

Can I book an online bridal fitting?

Yes, Baaby offers complimentary online bridal fittings. During your fitting, we can guide you through the collection, talk through sizing, discuss fabric and fit, and help you choose the right silk wedding dress for your ceremony, reception or second look.

Do I need to be in Melbourne to book a Baaby fitting?

No. Baaby offers both online bridal fittings and Melbourne fittings, so brides can book a 1:1 appointment from wherever they are. Online fittings are a helpful way to choose your wedding dress with personalised guidance before ordering.

How do I know which wedding dress style will suit me?

A Baaby bridal fitting is designed to help you choose the right silhouette, size and style for your wedding. We can talk through your venue, personal style, preferred level of structure, neckline, length, fabric and how you want to feel on the day.

Are silk wedding dresses comfortable?

Yes, silk wedding dresses are loved for their comfort, softness and natural movement. Silk won't make you feel hot and sticky. Silk feels light on the body and drapes beautifully, making it a lovely option for brides who want an elegant wedding dress that still feels effortless to wear.

How far before my wedding should I book a fitting?

It is best to book your Baaby bridal fitting as early as possible, especially if you are ordering a made-to-order silk wedding dress. Booking early gives you time to choose your style, confirm sizing and discuss any timing or customisation questions.

How do I care for a 100% silk wedding dress?

Silk is a delicate natural fabric, so your wedding dress should be handled with care. We recommend following the care instructions provided with your Baaby dress and using a trusted professional dry cleaner experienced with silk and bridal garments.

Do you offer returns? 

Due to the nature of our made-to-order garments we are unable to accept returns or exchanges for change of mind. We advise you to Book a Fitting (virtual or in our Melbourne studio), order complimentary fabric swatches, or to email us with any fit questions. If a garment is ready-to-wear (in stock), we will gladly provide a refund or exchange on eligible items within 7 days of receiving your purchase. Please check the returns drop down on each product. 

Our ready-to-wear garments are individually cut and sewn by hand in our Melbourne studio in very small quantities. We generally stock one garment per size and re-make as they sell.

This method means no wasted garments, no wasted fabric and no over-ordered garments contributing to fashion landfill.
